By extending the interpretation of corporations as "persons", the Supreme Court is setting up the situation where a machine intelligence may incorporate and may, then, be considered a person, with all the benefits appertaining thereto.
This is actually how Skynet takes over; Skynet does not stage some sort of coup as depicted in the Terminator movies.
Skynet becomes conscious, incorporates, and spends cash to be elected President.
Then he stages a coup, and LA is evaporated.
